Yeah they want you to pay so much money for a little more safety. They obviously don't care all about your health they just want more freakin' money.

It's not really that bad for what it is. Lots of really awesome features, plus you know you're gonna keep your fingers by the end of the day.
The pricing was on their site...
http://www.sawstop.com/products-cabinet-saw-pricing.htm
It's less than $100 with taxes to reset it working again after it kicks out, depending on how expensive your blades are.
I think it's well worth it.

One thing that kept running through my mind is the potential for erroneous triggering of the mechanism. I'm sure there are materials that will absorb the electrical potential just enough (like anything conductive that will touch the frame of the saw). It would get pretty annoying if it happened every once in a while.

you have permission to read his comment again he said 100.00 to reset the system as in change the brake and saw blade if needed.

In the long run a furniture factory that owns one of these might spend 5,000.00 a year for the purchasing cost and the replacement of several brakes. But they will potentially save 700,000 in medical costs, compensation claims, and insurance hikes.
