A new safety saw that has an electrical charge which travels through it. When it comes in contact with human flesh it automatically stops and retracts.

damn it!!! they should of has this out before i lost my middle finger. now i have a sausage as a replacement middle finger. Its funny to see peoples reaction as i give them the sausage finger as as i drive.

^ Of course it cut into it, the blade has to detect that the tissue is there. If it stopped before the tissue got to the blade, whats to say it would be able to distinguish between a piece of wood and your finger?Sometimes your fingers get very close to the blade, so it would be stopping even though you had control of what you were doing. It looks like it only went in about 2mm which is pretty awesome.
I've got paper cuts deeper than 2mm. At least its responsive.
