Possibly one of the most prominent evidence of a great flood would be in the Chinese word for boat (general). It is composed of three parts: the character for ship (or large boat), the number eight, and the character for mouth. In the Chinese language, mouths represent the number of bodies just like how we use the word head (ie headcount). And remember, Chinese literature has been around for 5,000 years when they still used pictures.

Nataku: Yes, I've read about the possible relations, mythologically and historically speaking, in different areas of the world, particulary some where in the east of which I can't remember right now that relate to the story as told by the bible.
I guess I was a bit too broad in my statment. I apologize. What I meant, was that like with everything else that Hollywood does (embelishment), now they're trying to validate the great flood as commonly understood by religious groups (or not) as this incredible story of stuffing every single species of animals in a single boat and then repopulating the world to be true... which of course is not, and highly unlikely to succeed.
