They were twins; a brother and sister.
Though both were brought up in a religious household, the two had committed a sick taboo... Emma and Ethan had a hardcore incestuous relationship. Emma's fiance Darren found it and one night, in a drunken rage, beat Ethan upside the head with a lamp and left him for dead. Emma had come home late because she had went to her wedding tailor for her final fitting. Emma saw the body of her beloved brother and rushed to call her friend Michael instead of the police. Michael knew fully well of the relationship between the twins but never once judged them. Michael came over straight away and Emma was afraid for her life, her families name and everything else in between.
Michael and Emma decided to go bury Ethan in a thicket not far from where they lived. As Michael threw dirt on Ethan dead body,Emma jumped inside the shallow grave and demanded Michael bury them both. Shocked, Michael was like "wtf?" and Emma was like "Do it, k? I love him. More than anything" and Michael sadly obliged. Michael went back to town, heart broken and disoriented. He drank himself ill at the bar and later died the very same night by smashing his truck into a tree.
Emma slowly withered away with her brother and never once screamed for help.

I heard it on the news, yeah <3

Could have been the remains of the romans at Pompeii. When Vesuvius blew up, a lot of people were stranded on the island and couldn't escape. Their remains were preserved and we can see what they were doing the second before they died.
