Sewage "Tsunami" Kills Five

Naser, Gaza - A wave of sewage swept through a Palestinian village yesterday, killing five people and forcing people and livestock to flee. The Israeli army offered humanitarian assistance to help clean up the spill. There was no word on whether the offer had been accepted.

What I don't understand is that that entire area is mostly flat. Where did the shit come from so fast on a level terrain? I assume underground, but you would think they'd see the shit coming from a ways away.
Then again, I would probably gather that the desert bedouins aren't exactly the group most likely to have a great number of pro-swimmers amongst them.

Either way, a bad way to die for those poor kids. There is no way to die gracefully while drowning in your own waste.
