I'm pretty sure this is like, a sort of parody of something they had shown on Seaseme Street a hella long time ago. Back then, it was Kermit and he was singing the word "Phenomenon", which pretty much sounded like manamana after being repeated 18 times. Man, that song was awesome... if anyone finds it, post it.

That is really twisted and beyond strange...that said, there is an obvious direct correlation between the fall of society's youth and the decline of the Muppet Show (and spirograph according to the simpsons).
