Commentator: Well there may be no score, but there's certainly no lack of excitement here. As you can see, Nietzsche has just been booked for arguing with the referee. He accused Confucius of having no free will, and Confucius he say, "Name go in book". :D

Commentator: Well now, with just over a minute left, a replay on Tuesday looks absolutely vital. There's Archimedes, and I think he's had an idea.

Archimedes: Eureka!

Commentator: Archimedes out to Socrates, Socrates back to Archimedes, Archimedes out to Heraclitus, he beats Hegel. Heraclitus a little flick, here he comes on the far post, Socrates is there, Socrates heads it in! Socrates has scored! The Greeks are going mad, the Greeks are going mad. Socrates scores, got a beautiful cross from Archimedes. The Germans are disputing it. Hegel is arguing that the reality is merely an a priori adjunct of non-naturalistic ethics, Kant via the categorical imperative is holding that ontologically it exists only in the imagination, and Marx is claiming it was offside... :D

atari_x99,
spikedhumor turned into a myspace outlet flocked to by the young, dumb, and confused. good post but we are more impressed by things that blow up, magnets and batteries, and tv reruns, and idiocy.

Machiavelli is from Italy (I think Florence).
Great post, Germany obviously has a great share of awesome philosophers but lets not forget France and England. But all of them have nothing on the Greeks. The Greek philosophers will never have any equals, nothing will come close to the Ancient Greece.

Automatik - lol. you too funny.
Philosophy 1 in a nutshell. But these guys aren't the be all end all to philosophy. One of these guys argued that heavier objects fall faster than lighter objects. In fact, thanks to Christians - people believed that shit for 1300 years under threat of death if thinking otherwise.

If we have no way of measuring it, we leave it up to philosophers to guess what it is. If we can measure it, we hire engineers to milk it.
