problem is when you miss i break your leg.. that kick is very risky if you miss your back is to your opponent.. leaving open to a total ass whooping...God for bid some one get an arm in the way your liable to break your foot

^ See, that's where you're wrong. You quickly charge up a ball of fire and hurl it at your opponent while you're kicking. That way you distract him. It's common sense really. :P

Man, I was going to be really impressed if that guy would of just shaken it off. I guess that's expecting too much. Awesome kick though, and yes, very risky like orion1979 explained.

check out extreme tae kwon do. those korean nationals are crazy mofo's.

that wasn't a proper tornado kick, that was more like a spinning hop and snap kick. a real tornado kick would have connected at the peak of his jump and deliver maximum power over accuracy.

the snap kick (as demonstrated) is way more accurate and stuns ur opponent good.

This wouldn't work in a street fight, you can't keep this distance because most street fights end up with people getting cuddly and rolling around in the mud trading punches.

Head kicks are banned in most Martial Arts for exactly this reason, they're too dangerous. The kicker would have lost this fight in most sports although I've never practiced TKD so I'm not sure.

Give me Kung Fu any time, much more fun to practice and more fun to watch too, TKD uses legs far too much and teaches attack and very little defence so it seems, that's it's strength and it's weakness.

They say that attack is the best form of defence.. Tell that to the guy in Red, if he'd had his arms up the kick would have hit them not his face, and he'd have kept concious, and could have stopped the leg mid air, foot swept the guy in blue, put him on the ground and landed on him with an elbow strike.. Winner!!
