I think what "loosMoose" meant was that it was a shame seeing the plane put through a routine that was very unscale-like.

Cool flying, complete with Yeager's baby flying on rocket power.

OMG that flying was awesome. While I agree that it is nice to see the skills that are necessary to fly to scale, it is still fantastic to have someone demonstrate just how capable an aircraft is.

This is a model re-creation of the flight of the Bell X-1 piloted by Charles "Chuck" Yeager when he was the first person to exceed the speed of sound in controlled, level flight.

The Bell X-1, nicknamed 'Glamorous Glennis', was flown into the air by a specially modified B-29.

It should be noted that he was not the first person to break the sound barrier. Other pilots accomplished this in plumits from high altitude, but he was the first to do it in controlled flight patterns.
