Apparently, Tarja was let go because she was more focused on other projects than on Nightwish. There were times where she wouldn't even show up to rehearsal. Not like it matters. I think Toumas is actually the brains behind the music anyway, as he contributed more to the creative process than Tarja ever did.

Currently, the remaining members are sorting through audition tapes. I'm glad Tarja is gone. Hopefully she will be replaced by someone with more dedication than she had.

And don't compare her to Amy Lee. Amy's voice is terrible and lacks the range that Tarja has.

I must agree that it s sad she never put as much into the band as toumas, but I personnaly think she has a great voice, I couldn t think of another singer I was so impressed of, but I m sure they will find another singer worth the name of nightwish, I ve been around and buying their CDs when the first one hit the shelves (here in germany), which is years ago, so pls no more evanescence-copy-whines. great music, nuff said
