Believe it or not, that's not nearly as hard to play as it looks. He's just doing pull-offs with his left hand throughout the scale in the open position. When all you are doing is pull-offs from a certain fret to an open string, it's actually pretty easy to play something as seemingly complicated as that. Then, with his right hand, he's just playing a very simple progression of power chords.

Don't get me wrong, I like Trace Bundy's music, but after seeing several videos of acoustic virtuosos like Andy Mckee and Justin King (who I've actually had the privilege of meeting), it's really impossible for me to be impressed by Bundy's stuff. His music sounds nice, and to someone who isn't used to seeing the acoustic guitar played this way, I'm sure it sounds very impressive, but in all honesty, guys like Mckee and King are light years ahead of him in terms of technical talent.

I'll I got to say is, if you get the chance, go see Trace live. His older videos like this don't do justice to his playing and his concerts these days. Andy McKee and Justin King are excellent players for sure, but Trace puts on an amazing concert. I've never seen Justin King play live, but I have seen Andy McKee and Kaki King. Trace is definitely up there with them in technical skill. His concerts are hilarious too.
