I guess this is also called bluesnarfing. You can make free calls if someone has their bluetooth setting still on when they are not using their phone.

Thats the first time that has even done anything.. and it was 1 liner aswell. Very good and easy scam though. Until people complain and they track down your name and your account details.

I think its good that those a$$holes are getting scammed. These people look like such tools walking around with their headsets wherever they go. Its so tacky to wear it at the dinner table and the mall and stuff. I got one, but I keep it in my car.

Almost all bluetooth capable phones have a feature called "discovery" or something named as such which can be disabled so that no device, even your own can't find your phone. Its just a matter of setting it up the correct way. Only have it enabled when you need it and otherwise not, although its handy with OPP Bluetooth (such as the more recent Motorola's) to send pictures from one phone to another among other things.

This show always returns people's money right... I would like to know in THIS CASE, how do they even know who's phone they have taken control of? I mean by connecting to a phone, you don't know who or where this person is. And having spent an hour stealing people's money while they are on the move, I wonder how they caught up with all these people again.

Nice. But most phones have bluetooth off by default, but im blackberries use bluetooth so this can work, another cool trick im gonna try out from this show...

btw the whiskey one is still the shit, best bar trick ever
