Am I the only one who doesn't find this discovery of a black hole at the center of each galaxy the least bit surprising?

I mean, it's certainly a more plausible reason than that junk some astronomers call 'dark matter' for the cohesion of galaxies and the stars and planets they contain...

Mr.E you raise a good point. I myself don't find it surprising, however, the existence of Dark Matter and Dark Energy was proven just before the year 2000. Einstein had proposed a "Cosmological Constant" and the implications of such a concept was such a mind-fuck that Einstein himself said it was the stupidest idea he ever had. It simply messed up so many accepted theories that they were unwilling to change them and dismissed it. In an experiment done in, I believe 1997, they actually proved the existence of a "Cosmological Constant" which means that Dark Energy exists. They knew the answer they should get for the experiment, but couldn't get it unless they accounted for Dark Matter and Dark Energy. When they input those calculated/theoretical values, they got the answer they should get. This discovery completely baffled physicists. They have had to completely re-evaluate MANY theories because the implications from this is so huge. So the Dark Matter and Dark Energy theories are not complete bullshit... just a mind-fuck!
