Say what you want, say their exciting, say they eliminate the tie, I say FUCK the shootout. Worst of all the rule changes this year. I believe all 4 of the games Toronto has played, that ended in a shootout would have ended in OT if there was a second 5 minute OT. Some of the best hockey in years is being played, and their ending these games with a mini game. A game that resembles hockey, but is far from it. All it measures is the ability to take a penalty shot. Soon teams will draft certain players based on their shootout ability. All I can say is they better not have shootouts in the Playoffs.

I bet you like baseball.

Hockey is the best sport ever. Its not just violent for the sake of violence. Its part of the game. It keeps people in check. They dont try stupid things like running the goalie or smashing the captain as much if they know theyll get smashed for doing it.

I know a lot of people say shit like this, but I can do that EASILY, though since I'm a righty. I come along the circle on the left of the goalie so I can shoot it over the goalie left shoulders, saw a video of Mario Lemieux doing it when I was 9 so then I started doing it, he was the first in the NHL to do it. Though I must say, I cannot do that 360 in between the legs lacrosse style. I can do 360 Lacrosse style, exactly the same but not in between the legs, It takes a lot of practice to do the michigan scoop in between the legs. Its cool that Holik (I think) did it, but its not that hard when hockey is what you live for, but it certainly looks fucking great. Alex Zhamnov move is even harder because you depend on the goalie to leave room on the goalie's right side.

Batman, I agree and disagree with you, I do infact love the shootout because I always score on a break a way., but I think overtimes are more appropriate(spelling).
