If you have a personal computer and an Internet connection, you might want to consider helping find a cure for AIDS.
Yesterday, IBM and the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla announced a new venture that enlists people from around the world to donate time on their personal computers to assist with AIDS studies.
Called FightAIDS@Home, the initiative invites people to join the World Community Grid, a community of more than 100,000 computer users from 160 countries linked by the Internet.
Having more computer power at hand allows scientists to attack many of their questions more aggressively and quickly.
