the cool glow effects are just to display how intuitive the new technology it is. it can be applied to many uses such touch screen displays for computers and mobile devices like iPhone.

I'm sure Apple will think of many ways to use their new technology

All it is is software. It's no big deal. We have the same problem we have all ways had. Touch screens aren't cheap.
