Never actually seen or heard of this happen. So that's how hot air balloons explode. Atleast the people got out when they could.

those are some fancy explosions by the way...

i guess this was on japanese television
the first characters, when the balloon was touching down, were saying :
"aaa ! aaa !" lol :D

I love hot-air balloons and actually a pilot myself.. i've never had an accident as it is quite rare but yes when they do explode it can be serious.

I infact know the pilot of that balloon and that actually scared him shitless because it is so rare.
