This man forgets everything within 30 seconds at least. The only things he remembers are his wife and his ability to play music. Imagine living in a life lost in time, living everyday in the present.

hahaha i dont know. i do feel that the perception of him suffering is false. everyone including his wife thinks he is suffering but in truth he is free.

I really wanted to hear like a "what the hell is that camera doing here". But it was great that he was able to explain what he was going through.

How does he remember to talk?

He'd make a great friend, conversation would be a little frustrating but at least he would never hold a grudge, I mean even if you fucked his wife.

I think it depends on the perspective that you are looking at the situation from.
Yes, He is suffering in the sense that he cannot go out, remember his kids or what he did 30 seconds ago.

But you could also say that, as stated above, he is living IN THE MOMENT and therefore leads a blissful life. Imagine seeing the one you love, for the first time, every 30 seconds...
to me that is Bliss..

Also i would like to point out that he doesn't realize he is 'suffering' therefore he is not suffering..

I think it's that his HDD has less capacity than my old TRS-80. He remembers his wife and how to play a piano. Imagine not being able to remember what taste accompanies the name of a food. He can't even remember what foods he likes or dislikes. I wonder if that changes day-to-day. One day, he loves blue cheese, the next day he hates it.

The man has 30 second memory yet he can play the piano for 5 minutes and always remember his place on the sheet music? You would think every 30 seconds he'd spaz out or something trying to figure out where he is and why the hell he's playing the piano.

I don't know whether to be impressed or call bullshit.

I would die if i had that condition, just think.. you would be going to do something and right before you got there you would forget what you were doing and go try to do something else, so you would be walking aimlessly around your house all day..
