I'm not endorsing torture and I see Damon's point. But, if you torture more than one person and you get the same info. What are the odds that 2 or more people (more people = higher odds) will be making up the same info?

there's no assurance that more than one person is tortured for the same information, and there's no assurance that the questions asked during torture are open-ended enough to allow for similar answers. There's no assurance whatsoever, and that is what makes it, for me, as an American, difficult to swallow. There's no assurance, so there's no culpibility.

edit: granted, the odds are good that more people=more information, IF the questions are inspecific enough to allow for the people being tortured to be forthright without being prompted. Otherwise, I fear it dwells in the realm of coercion.

Again, even if Matt IS gay (and there is a strong possibility, I must admit), what does that have to do with anything he has said?

To rule out an opinion to superficial garbage like that is to attempt to strip them of any say they have in the political process, albeit his voice is much more outspoken than that of the ordinary person due to celebrity status, the principle remains the same.

Take away one's opinion, and you no longer live in a democracy... "fascism" is a word that quickly comes to fill in that blank.

Either keep with the topic or keep your trap shut; for a handle referring to a supreme being, I would expect a little more understanding, and a hell of a lot more maturity.

Keep it up though, I rather enjoy being the laughing stock of the world due to mistakes of my kin. *sigh*

FACT: PR firms have been involved in both Iraq wars.

In the first one, Hill & Knowlton was involved with making up stories about iraqi atrocities toward kuwaiti babies, that were then trumpeted before congress and used as a justification for the war. Who paid for the US citizens to be lied to and manipulated in this way? Well, the US citizens, of course!
