MythBusters - Mentos and Soda

Adam and Jamie are trying to figure out the theory behind the chaos when diet cola and mentos mix. Inspired by an internet phenomenon, the Mythbusters take on the controversy surrounding these fizzy fountains. Adam and Jamie pit soda against soda and candy against candy to find the perfect cocktail for their explosive exploits.

All of the other things that they did have been aroud for a long time. The methane and bubbles I did when I was in chemistry class. I used to make those smoke bombs all the time too with stump remover and sugar. And I got the bomb squad sent to my house when I was 14 after I made dry ice bombs. Although I never actually have seen that hydrogen and potato chips thing. Which is probably because it is hard for most people to find a supply of hydrogen. Those things are all much cooler to actually do than the video makes them appear though.

've had a 710 ml bottle blow in my hand, and set off countless other 2l/710/etc bottles off and my hearings fine, watch out tho, dry ice is cold enough to give you frost bite
