So what if Britain have lost a few wars. America have lost wars. I'm sure every army has lost a war. I'm just saying that Britain had the best planes. You and anyone are entitled to your opinion

I don't know a single veteran that calls it the "Vietnam war". They all refer to it as a the Vietnam Conflict. I only know a dozen or so vets tho.

US president Ford had given a televised speech declaring the end of both the Vietnam War and of all US aid to the Saigon regime , all the good soldiers jumped into last helicopters retreating out of there and surrendering all their positions to Vietcong . Victorious Vietcong tanks went through the streets of Saigon in victory march , resulting in what accepted worldwide as : 1. Political defeat for the US , 2. Strategic Military defeat for the US . You lost it .

Know the history of your own country , you are still in a ceasefire with North Korea , but you lost to Vietnam .

jagginess, it's nice that you have your stupid little input but the only major thing the French did was win the battle at Chesapeake. Without the French it definately would have taken longer to gain our independence (another year at most) but I can assure you the English would have lost anyway. The reason we lost in Vietnam is the same reason England lost in the revolutionary war. You can't fight a revolution against a determined people on their own turf.

Germans were generaly better skill wise... Look at the charts. Germans droped way more planes then any allied fighter pilots. The real aces of the war were from germany and Finland.
