Where did you get this was banned? Who said there were racial steriotypes in this? He actually used these same characteres in 6 different features. The characters bear more of a resemblance to George and Lenny from the book/movie "Of Mice and Men." They were white migrant workers during the depression. George was slow and lenny was the smart one.

Actually in "Of Mice and Men" George was the intelligent one and Lenny was mentally handicapped.

I didn't see any black stereotypes besides wanting to eat chicken.

But I do know what it was banned.

"Bend over."

Conservative Christians obviously saw this as supporting the gay agenda. Their argument was that two same sex "partners" travelled together and one was always bending over for the other. This was obviously meant to corrupt our children into being big flaming homosexuals.

I'm just kidding. But I can see them doing it. Did you see where they were trying to say that the new movie "Happy Feet" is liberal propaganda?

George was the smart one, and Lenny was kinda slow, but very strong. George would tell Lenny stories about how they were going to get a farm someday, where Lenny could feed the Rabbits. Lenny liked to touch soft things, and he wanted to pet the rabbits.

One day, he was alone with the farmers daughter at a the place where they were working, and wanted to touch the farmer's daughters hair. She freaked out, and Lenny broke her neck on accident. George knew that the people would never believe it was an accident, so George found Lenny hiding in the woods, and shot him in the head to save him from a lynch mob.

John Steinbeck was one of the most popular American authors of his time, and if this cartoon did not pass the PC thought police acid test, then we are all in serious danger of Fahrenheit 451 becoming a reality.
