That is painful to listen to, i cant understand how stupid they are. Is there a difference between 1 dollar and 1 cent? Yes. Is there a difference between 0.002 dollars and 0.002 cents? Yes. 1 dollar and 1 cent are the same number, different terminology. So wouldn't it be the same for 0.002 dollars and 0.002 cents? Yes it would be, its only confusing them because of the decimal.

theyre obviously toying with this guy, you cant honestly believe that almost everyone here can understand that conversion yet you believe the entire verizon staff cant seem to compute it? (except for that one chick she really really sounded like a retard) notice how when he spells it out for them they just repeat what they had said before. None of them want to take the rap for it and its a lot easier to sit there and fuck around with this guy for 10 minutes apiece then admit that you and the rest of your staff not knowing how to use decimals. Overall the energy hes using is not worth the 76 dollars in my opinion but i do think hes doing the right thing for standing up for himself, especially to a phone company like Verizon.

Eventhough the CSRs at Verizon are dumber than a mound of donkeyshit, maybe the OP could have tried explaining with factors of 10.

"The rate is .002 cents per kilobyte, correct?"
"Ok, so then if I used 1 kilobyte, I would be charged .002 cents, right?"
"Ok, so then if I used 10 kilobytes, I would be charged .02 cents, right?"
"Ok, so then if I used 100 kilobytes, I would be charged .2 cents, right?"
"Ok, so then if I used 1000 kilobytes, I would be charged 2 cents, right?"
"Ok, so then if I used 10,000 kilobytes, I would be charged 20 cents, right?"
"Ok, so then if I used 40,000 kilobytes, I would be charged 80 cents, right?"
"Ok, so how much was I charged for my usage of 35,000 kilobytes, which is less than 40,000 kilobytes?"
- umm.. that would be 71 dollars, sir.

^^^bugmen0t that would have been great if he walked her through those steps and have them write it down on paper but the 10,000 kb to the 40,000 may have confused them. need to go to the next decimal place so that it is less confusing. so then at the end you would say ok so 100,000 kb is 2 dollars right ok so how is my 35,893 kb usage that is way bellow 100,000kb equal to 71 dollars when 100,000kb is 2 dollars
