1. Fare enough , let them put "song was wriiten by ..." , "music was played by..." and "voice of the singer was digitally enhanced" on top. Otherwise consumer naturally gets a wrong impression that the person is singing , writing music and playing it himself , doesn't he ? At this point piracy is not stealing , it's a refund .

2. Making money is not human nature . Living , procreating and protecting children is human nature .


Combining the above we get people trying to mislead the public to take their posessions (money) , by selling them goods which they describe as art , but in reality is just a product of mass production , like chinese made jeans .

In my book it is fraud .

Great vid btw... although everyone with more than two brain cells can figure out how pop stars are made, its fun to see this experiment...

totally see the point of this. kind of makes a mockery out of music if you look at it in the traditional sense. but to play devil's advocate, you have to realize that it takes a shitload of skill in itself to find the right person, create the right look, use all those editing and production tools, market it, and exploit the "music" creation to make millions. all this software and editing shit is out there. and i'm sure we all know a hot chick we could use. but the fact is, majority of us aren't capable of producing shit like this. so therefore, there IS indeed a lot of talent that goes into the finished product. maybe not the face of the product, but the flesh and bones for sure. and THAT's, one to grow on....

To save music go to the bars and small halls in your town, and buy the music right from the musicians, also buy it right from their websites. This puts money directly in the bands pockets, it saves you money and and allows the bands to finance their own tours and create new music. And this keeps them away from the money grubbing sleazy record companies.

I think the fact that Ashley Simpson continued to sell millions of records after her big lip-sync debacle on SNL goes to show the absolute stupidity of the Pop music fans... then she went and tried to sing for real, and guess what? She sounded like a dying cat (figuratively speaking, of course...)

I don't get the huge uproar over this. So it's not created by one person. So what? Neither is the car you drive. It's called specialization, and the pop music industry probably uses it because it works. Don't like it? Buy someone else's music, but don't bitch that it's "not fair" and blame it on people who obviously enjoy the music and drive up sales.

WHY STEAL? : To the folks that have NOT spotted the connection I am trying to make between fake musik and stealing.

The point of this video expose is obviously that the pop muzak industry is lying, creating a false image, and selling it for BILLIONS of dollars. Millions of hearts bleeding over plastic fakery and lies. There is deception here. Especially against younger people. This is a form of THEFT. They fake this image so young people will buy it.

I listen to some of this crap now and then, and enjoy it a bit. But why support a system of FAKE, CONCOCTED, FABRICATED crap. Our dollars are our only real votes these days. So I vote by supporting the REAL artists that I very much enjoy. I hope that there end up being more REAL artists with REAL talent. Including 40 something geniuses like the guy in the clip. He has REAL talent, and I might buy one of his albums starring him. He isn't singing out of key, and his sense of rythm and humor is well worth paying for.

I want to live in a world that gets more real, not more fake. That means we need to invest in real quality, not grand illusions of hollow plastic dreams where people are always more and more impossibly perfect. There is a more satisfying level of really good, and real. I think that the fakery of POP music, hollywood, TV, and many many other things, is leading us to perpetual frustration with how permanently imperfect we will all always be by comparison. If enough young people keep buying this unreal fantasy, then no one will devote the real work it takes to actually get good. We slide into ever spiralling BULLSHIT.

So I say steal the POP, pay for real stuff instead.

I hate to tell you this, but a good friend of mine, and former bandmate, toured with them in a ban called hella (you wanna see people who can actually play their instruments, check those fuckers out). The guitarist from system of a down syndrome cant even play the parts on the albums. Seriously- watch him live sometime- he has all kinds of technical computer bullshit going on. The dude is a terrible guitarist, and only sounds as good as he does on albums because of studio magic- that pitch correction thing isn't shit compared to what the higher end studios have.

Games industry anyone? Find me something original. Truly original! Halo = Doom ( Sorry to , "POP". burst yer bubble, but it is simply a 3D FPS adventure game! ). Monkey Ball = Marble Madness. Sports sims? Yeah right! All amazing graphics, and that's it, right there. It's all image, no substance.
