a good way to know if the band isnt bullshit, see them live. They can sing and play their instruments, they are good, they souind like your little sister crying in a closet , they are bullshit. Nowaday, music industry is image first, then music. It sucks. Long live savage capitalism.

Is this any differnet from any other industry these days? Instant perfection is the goal. Instant fame. Instant cash. Instant gratification. The "I don;t wanna wait. I want it now!" generation at work! Utter shite.

I went to a metal gig the other day. The support band "Wintersun" came out, set their own gear up in front of everyone. They tuned up in front of 8-900 people. They went off and cam eback on played a 45 min set of their own work. They then had to dismantle their own kit, carry it off stage in front of the full audience. Then I saw then 10 mins later round the back of the stage packing their own gear up and storing it ready to be loaded onto the trucks for the next gig, Then finally they could come out into the audience and have a well deserved beer and enjoy the main act. They most likely made just about enough money to pay the tour costs and some left for the rent back home. They were enjoying every fucking minute of it, doing what they like and with a pure passion I would find impossible to find in these fucking instant made pop-fakes.

So don't just dispise pop music, get out there and support your local bands, regardless of their musucial taste, help these real hard working musicians to continue to provide you with the music you treasure.

The really sad thing is that its not just these teen pop stars who suck. They're a joke, and you'd have to be brain damaged to take them seriously. But the smaller local bands who really write and sing they're own music all suck too, brutally suck. Only difference is that there is less deception in their suckiness. There is a rapidly declining level of creativity in our modern society, especially in the arts. From the laughable paintings of our "artists", to the university bred cookie cutter "writers", true originality, real creativity, is dying as everyone everywhere starts to think the same and it's painful to watch.

This whole thing is really bad in COUNTRY MUSIC & RAP too, anywhere that image is valued over talent. The best way to tell is if you`ve seen them in a club or heard them on an independent release. This kinda stuff happens when major labels get involved.

ROFLMAO. I love how metal fans think that their music is the shiznit. Real music? Please. Metal isn't any different from pop. They're both contemporary music with narrow-minded followers. It's time you exposed yourself to some European, Asian, Latin, Blues, Jazz, and Classical music to list a few. And learn to appreciate them.

But you're not going to do that. So go ahead and bury this post for all I care. Point made.

Everybody wants to be rich and becoming a popstar can give you that. Don't blame the singers for having someone else write or edit their music because it's just the human nature to make money
