In this case, I'm glad.

I also lack the creative potency because this looks like crap. I could grab the scrap wood from the window they're cutting out in my office and put a bic lighter on it and its art right? Or I could put my cellphone on top of my wristwatch and its art... apparently. Or a piece of metal going thru a large piece of wook outside an "art museum."

Ok guys define art for me. Anything can be artistic to someone, maybe this just expresses him as a person, so to him its art, and to you it isnt, but no matter what its still art, so who cares.

It may not be large A art....but what it does do is to bring attention to the little things in life that are....interesting....they see flames in the wood grain that others may not have noticed, so.....thanks!

A good drawing/painting is art, a matchstick placed on a bit of wood is just a matchstick placed on a bit of wood...

See, I think it's cool that a knot in a peice of wood mimics the shape and structure of a flame so well, and that the photographer captured the analogy in a nice, simple way.

You people thinking this is "art" and getting upset and discrediting it are fucking morons.

The matchstick is burnt, meaning its been used. The knot pattern looks like a FLAME so it is an illusion hinting to the match being on fire, but no fire present.

Use fucking context clues. Saying a match on a piece of wood is fucking vague, the grain pattern, the state of the match, etc all effect the way we percieve the piece.

I can't believe you tards didn't see that yet instead opted to talk shit about it.
