MONTROSE, Pa. (AP) - Mayor Thomas LaMont, who has been in office a little more than 10 years, said he will resign if re-elected Tuesday.
LaMont wasn't seeking re-election, but he is the only candidate on the ballot. He got 23 votes in the Republican primary in this borough of about 1,600 people, which is the Susquehanna County seat.
