I'm sure he is being sincere with his apology. While it doesn't justify his actions, I don't think he is the "bad guy" we make him to be. It's true that famous people must live to a higher standard, so I'm curious to see how this plays out.

I couldnt say for sure if this apology is genuine, but at least he didnt try to justify it or say he was "Intoxicated" or any of that. He seems to realize what he said was some crazy and uncalled for shit and he really looks like hes regreting it right now. Which is a step in the right direction, hes a good comedian, and id hate for him to only be remembered as the crazy guy from seinfeld who lost it and flipped out one day...

5/5

He was at such a loss for words, it reminds me of Bush when he gets out in front of an audience with the speach written down in his hand, then remembers he can't read.

agreed....that was sincere...or he is one hell of a put on...i mean come on, as i said in the acutal video, we can ALL get pushed to this point and at that point is when we decide to let it go or bottle it up and take it...he's a comedian, he tried to make the best out of it, it backfired badly...

People on a local talk radio show was saying that he was acting like Kramer when he was apologizing on Letterman. I personally don't think so. He seemed like a guy who is trying to save his career, or what's left of it.

In the heat of the moment, I've said things that I regret just to strike out and make the other person feel a little bit of what I'm feeling. I think maybe that's what he was doing. He just got carried away. His apology seems sincere and I understand where he's coming from.

What the fuck is an Afro-American? This stupid fucktard can't even get that right. At least give the people youre apologizing to some respect and call them African-Americans, which is much more formal and respectful.

Seriously, this "apology" *COUGH* is such an act -- especially the parts where he says he's not a racist.

The fact that he said the guy should be hanged upside down with a fork up his ass and that he shouldn't interrupt the WHITE man totally disproves him not being a racist.

What a stupid fuck.

hes not a stupid fuck you stupid fuck. every1 says something they dont mean when there pissed. you just dont think when your angry.
but i really think he should have apologized somewhere else, and not at some stupid comedy show where the people in the background think its all a joke.

@reduxien
i agree wtf he did say afro-american... true, his apology didnt even come out right and even tried to cover his ass by saying that he snapped on everybody not just the two dudes. i think he regrets what he got himself into instead of what he said.
seriously flipping out is one thing...thinking ur better than another race is another. his true feelings came out.

That was nice of Jerry supporting his friend, even if Michael Richards did fuck up big time.

He should not apologize, he did nothing wrong, he defended himself from those who attacked him

His celebrity status only kept him from being able to walk off that set without any physical injuries. If any of us starting talking like that in the middle of the street, someone would probably be more than happy to beat us down with a baseball bat.

Everyone has to be in control of their actions in some way or another, and must be held accountable for them.
