Kramer vs. Kramer

Michael Richards, better known as Kramer on Seinfeld totally lost it during a performance at Los Angeles’s Laugh Factory on Friday night. He has since apologized for his racial outburst on Letterman. This clip includes footage from his outburst as reported on Keith Olbermann's Countdown, followed by the Letterman segment.

i mean i'm a big fan of kramer and richard but man i really didnt figure richard for that type, NOT the racist type,but the type that aren't racists but if they get angry then suddenly they just take whatever ammo they think they can use to win an argument no matter how vile they themselves believe it is.

i dont think he's racist but still believe he has a problem with how he defends himself.
i mean we all try to bring someone else down but you have to think for yourself about what you're using .it might just be too much for the person you're attacking cause they're the ones getting the wrong side of the gun.

richard and everyone else who went through this same kind of attack mode
have to educate themselves personally without someone else persuasion or ultimatum.that way they know they're passed it for sure.

I don't think he's acting and what he said as an apology is really thoughtful.

We are not talking about Kramer or the actor but about the man himself, he's not playing a stupid role or anything else !

I think the people who disturbed him have to make apologies too ! Did you hear what they thought about him "no movie, no etc : only Seinfeld" ! WHy did they come to see him if he's so crap as they think ? White, black, yellow, red or green is not the matter, it is a matter of respect ! Respect the artist, if you don't you won't get respect. I have to admit he said nigger, so what have you ever heard nigger in a 50 Cent song ? What's the problem, he's not being racist, he's not telling stupid stuffs as "you have a bone in your head and can you talk you monkey?" that would have been awful but he didn't say that! And so the black guys are being racist by calling him white guy?! it's insane, there's only anger & no racism in what he said.

kramer is hella funny, and what he did he did because he was really getting heckled and those faggots wouldnt stop talking. he said that to strike them at a personal level since everything else wouldn't really make a difference for them.

he always tackles social issues so he has probably some thought into the blacks-white theme, so now he used that to make that person upset that wouldn't stop talking... in the end the person left right?

but so did half the audience lol.

I can relate to this guy,many people never have experienced PURE rage...I have.Back in 7th grade a classmate of mine who was black pissed me off and I started spewing out racial slurs to him,crap like "go back to the underground railroad" I was in a rage so yea...afterwards I apologized and felt dumb,my emotions got the best of me.

I have nothing against black people,i have black friends! but damn that rageeeee..

Even celebrities are human, and put under that much stress of being famous, I'm sure their emotions are multiplied. It's a natural human reaction to lash out at times. While I don't think racist remarks were necessary, when it's a black man you're lashing out at, of course the word "nigger" is going to be part of your rant. It's just the way our brains work.

Either way, he sincerely apologized, and realizes he has personal issues which he is willing to address and not just ignore. I don't think anyone should hold a grudge on him.

What is the big deal? Why are all you posters condemning this man? What has he done that is so wrong?

"Fifty years ago, you'd be..." etc. ... The fact that coverage was conveniently edited to exclude the racist comments that preceeded his controversial response doesn't matter, I suppose? What he said had some truth to it, I am not condoning lynching by saying that, just acknowledging that this horrible act was likely back then.

This is such a typical hulabaloo over nothing. I bet most people could give a rat's ass about this but because the networks pick up the story, (good ratings), it's a big deal. Funny how no one seems to be bothered by the "cracker-ass" or "white-boy" retorts or "pre-torts" by the "victims" in the scenario. They even found a nice black man in a suit to say on CNN how upsetting the whole affair was. The "N" word obviously caused him a lot of distress, so much so that he was able to appear on TV to say how much. Poor guy, I bet he had never heard the word "nigger" before. Hypocrisy at work I believe.

So funny when Richards mentions Katrina and the fact that comedians are working to raise money for what happened to "them" as a result of K. So, it was only black people who were affected by Katrina, yeah? (I refuse to call them African-American, because if they refuse to call themselves simply American, then I say, get out of the country and go back to Africa. (They wouldn't do that of course, because: A- Things are better for them in America and B- Africans wouldn't want them.) When Richards talked about Katrina and the horrible thing that happened to "them", please... no one did it, it was a natural disaster and the fact that crime rates increased in cities that refugees sought refuge in after Katrina, especially Houston, (mostly refugees on refugees.) should tell you that many did and do not deserve pity or help. Whatever their color.

Slavery ended a long time ago and remember it existed long before the ships to America. In almost every culture at some time in their histories', slavery existed. There were many slaves in the most ancient of civilizations, why is it that people only talk about black slaves in America? Why aren't Africans looking for compensation from other countries? Why aren't blacks looking for compensation from other balcks? African tribes, who captured and sold them to the "evil" white man?

Why do people feel guilty about it today? Yes, it was terrible and very wrong, but are there any people alive today in the USA who cracked a whip or who bought or sold another human being? Is there a black man, woman or child who has been a slave or has been bought or sold? No, there is not.

Black people use the word nigger all the time and it's ok. If someone else uses it, it's not ok. If it's a problem word, stop using it! Suddenly, the world should feel sorry and guilty for the suffering their ancestors lived through: even pay them compensation. If things are so bad for them, why do they stay? Why??????

Hey, why not get Europe to pay Africans compensation for colonialism, Britain to pay Americans for atrocities committed during the War of Independence, and Britain to pay compensation to every other nation it has invaded and damaged in its past: E.g. India and Ireland. What about Spain, Portugal and France?

Why don't blacks ask for compensation from the African tribes who captured and sold them as slaves to the white men? So many questions and only one answer.

The past is the past. Move on! Take responsibility for your own life and stop expecting others to bail you out. I, as a white man, owe black people in America nothing. I didn't do anything to you. I am sick and tired of people apologizing for something they didn't do or for things their parents and grandparents didn't do. Americans are immigrants. How many of those liberal, white apologists who say sorry for anything that effects black people in a bad way, are children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of immigrants who came after slavery?

Grow up everybody! Be you black or white. We all have problems, just some of us don't blame everyone else for them! Michael Richards, was, like it or not called a cracker-ass and thus was also the victim of racist abuse. Which came first is unimportant, because that would just simply try to excuse one or the other. This is, of course, no excuse, but unsurprisingly it seems to have been forgotten in the "balanced" reports that have permeated the airwaves.

If you can stand up and say you never ever once went on a rage on someone then your not human.. its life.. we all get mad.. The only thing that makes this bad is it was some black guys and he shot out the 'n' word.. Why is that anymore different then flippin' on a Homo and callin him a fag?? Oh well. What's offensive about hearing a Jewish comedian use racists words directed at two black people who pissed him off during his show?

Had Kramer only said to the two men in the audiences that they where 'motherf**ckers' there would have been no problem. I hate all this phony political correctness crap, the only intention he had was to shock piss off the guys heckling him. He achieved this.

being completely not racist, im white, love Turk (scrubs), oprah (what a fucking awesome genuine woman) and many hiphop/rap artists, as well as a few black friends (tho i live in a white community) ive always wondered, if black people dont want to be called a nigger, seriously, why do they refer to themselves as one? especially black rappers, who are without a doubt the most influential black people throughout the world. (listening to Akon right now, the N word is used in this song). If they dont want white people to use the word, stop staying it and spreading it throughout the world as an everyday term. i can understand that a black person would not want to be called a nigger. i dont like being refered to as a skip (being aussie), so i dont use the word myself, "yo me an my skips going down to the club." its just something aussies dont use, coz it is derogitory. so, black people should stop using the word themselves, stop promoting the word throught the world and this shit might not happen anymore.
