Kramer vs. Kramer

Michael Richards, better known as Kramer on Seinfeld totally lost it during a performance at Los Angeles’s Laugh Factory on Friday night. He has since apologized for his racial outburst on Letterman. This clip includes footage from his outburst as reported on Keith Olbermann's Countdown, followed by the Letterman segment.

For all you asses trying to call him such a racist, lets find that same black guy who was calling michael richards a cracker ass cracker. If this black or "African American" guy was so respectable he wouldn't have had to use more degrading language to confront Richards.
I think "Afro-American" comes from the fact that todays Black people aren't technically from africa, other than in ancestry. So, "afro-american" is another term for it. I mean my ancestors were from germany but i don't walk around calling myself "german-american"
Michael Richards celebrity status just made this a big deal.

He's a fucking professional, its not like hes a first time comedian on stage, hes been in the game awhile, and im pretty sure before, during, and after his fame of sienfield he got heckled.

He snapped, who hasn't. I understand blurting out shit randomly out of anger can lead to things you don't usually say being said. But Those were racial slurs he was spitting, and he was putting it into contexts that definitely didnt help the situation.

The idiots who heckled him, their douche bags if they did heckle him the fact is that if "kramer" acted professionally and didnt stray from his act to single out those people, this shit wouldnt have happened.

Theirs enough comedians who were made off of having racially motivated jokes such as Russel Peters, but never did they he use those jokes to put down a single person...It was in good taste.

I say there is enough stupid shit going on in the rest of the world, that worrying about "Kramer" being a racist is the least of everyones worries, and or cares. If Kramer is or is not a racist, it wouldnt change my ways, so it shouldnt change yours....

Afro-American is a term that many people applied to themselves in the US, but now it's supposed to be considred a derogatory term? First it was Negro - as in United Negro College Fund. Such people applied the term to themselves. Then, it was "black," then it became "colored," as in National Association for the Advancement of Colored People." (What are the rest of us -- transparent?). Then "colored" was considered derogatory. Every few years the term changes, so Richards' use of this term is not racist. (Yes, his comments on the show were very racist and ugly, but using the term Afro-American is not racist.) When police give descriptions of suspects, they'll use terms like white, black, Hispanic, etc. For years Afro-American was the self-applied term used by US residents descended from African tribes. So is "black" a preferred term again? It was taboo 15 years ago. But job applications today often invite people to identify themselves by race, so many "black" and "white" are back in fashion. What the heck? It keeps changing.

I feel bad for the guy. He goes out on stage to entertain and do his job and people ridicule him. It must be difficult to have to endure people being assholes during your act. He shouldn't have said what he said and he should have handled it differently. But as we all know we've said things in the past that we regret. I think his apology was sincere and he knows he f'ed up big time. I accept his apology and wish him the best.

If you actually look, White people arn't actually the racist people in the world. Asians were probably the first to be racist, and probably still are racistn. Lol letterman was trying to remain serious but I could tell he wanted to crack jokes numerous times during that interview.
