^ is this confirmed. if so, i hope it doesn't end up like a rushed pointless "revenue raising" game that m$ poorly port to the PC like they did with Halo.

This game, IMO, could have been better. I own it, I've beaten it, and I've been a little disappointed by it. First off, me and my friend got it on launch day, brought it home, and beat it about 2 hours later on the normal difficulty. Extremely short campaign with hardly any plot. (I'm positive that they are saving more plot for the second one, because there was a lot of stuff that would make me think that.) We next played it on the hardest difficulty, Insane. Honestly, it's not turning out to be as 'insane' as we had hoped. Aside from the short and relatively easy campaign, the gun set is kinda limited, and extremely generic. (Ex. Assault rifle, shotgun, rocket launcher, sniper rifle) One very fun and original part of this game is the gun reload. When you reload, there are 3 parts of a bar that are on your screen. If you tape your right bumper when the white part is lit up, you will reload quickly. Grey, you reload faster but not very quick, and if you completely miss, it takes extra time to reload the gun. I have played it on Xbox Live and the multi player isn't really something that I enjoy. It's a cross between Halo 2 and Counterstrike. (Ironic I don't enjoy it, my two favorite games =p)
Finally, you can just see from the video here that the graphics are incredible.

Good game, but overall, I can't help but feel a little disappointed.

2h...omg let me worship you. You must be the greatest player alive since most reviews say its 6-8 hours long on casual ( just got is so im done yet). Story? wanna story get an adventure game or better yet an rpg. Weapons? If it bleeds I will kill it doesnt matter with what...weapons in games have been generic for years and no one cares they still play shooter. The multiplayer is awesome I have no idea how it reminds of halo or cs...

believe it or not, the game actually looks better than that. this video is probably several months old becuase the main character doesnt' even look like that in the final release.

as for the game, i'd have to say, hands down the best xbox360 game out right now. even if you are a little dissapointed with the immense amount of hype around gears of war, you can't deny it's absolutely the best looking game in existence at this moment. length of gameplay leaves something to be desired, but the real fun in the game is playing co-op with a friend and actually working together on the hardest mode.

Its an Amazing game alright but it doesnt feel like it should have been in development as long as it was, I mean this is the game that Microsoft showed when the first announced the 360 at E3 2005. But still a great game none the less.

...And then scream: almost 3 more months to wait for it!! And then scream: at least another 3 more months till all the flaws are out of the hardware and Vista!! And then scream: very cheap ports!! YAY!!

...I can't wait till I can buy my new comp... I got 1600 Euro's to spend, and I know it's gunna be a good waste of my money! MMMM!! MMMM!!

I never asked you to worship me, but if you want to, I won't stop you. A review can say 6-8 hours on casual, but if I beat it in 2 hours on casual, I'm gonna trust what I did. As for your comment about storyline, look at Halo 2. One of the best FPS ever, plus an excellent storyline to follow. You can try to pick apart my comment all you want, but in the end, it's just my opinion. Take it or leave it, I'm not going to change it.

Got to admit this game is awesome. Videos don't do it justice. Easily the best game I have ever played.

I like all systems, but so far this makes everything else look like a polished turd.
