i use internet explorer with the default settings and nothing happened to my computer when i went to goggle.com
i'm sure the same is true of any non half-assed browser.

Anyone here who said they get pop ups just from opening IE are either infected or full of shit. When I open IE, it's clear as day. Don't get me wrong, I use FF. But I challenge any of you guys to make a better browser- correction, I challenge you to make a browser at all.

I just use FileProtector T!ME, and I haven't used any anti-spyware or anti-virus progs and haven't had a virus/Spyware for 2 years now. And I don't update Windows, and can use IE with all options activated - not that I'd want to since Firefox is better :)

And I know what that Windows Close music means... "mi-cro-soft-sucks"
