Where are you getting this? The X28 flare DID in fact hit Earth, since it was mostly recorded by satellites in our planets orbit.

Flares don't kill people. The 1859 "biggest flare yet" did in fact cut some phonelines and such, but didn't kill nobody.

Get your facts straight.
