^ You can't really define reality.

For instance, there's tv-reality and then there's the observable reality. Those differ quite a lot to say the least.

I'm looking at this website on my computer. Everything I am watching is really just neatly arranged electricity. Electricity is a carrier of energy, energy is never created but always transformed. Thus, when you get down to it, this experience (looking at this website) seems to be extremely well-manipulated sunlight.

Because oil is just sunlight, everything before me is possible exclusively through the transformation of sunlight (energy) to organic material (through photosyntheses) to oil (through kinetic energy, specifically pressure) to electricity which is then manipulated by, well, switching it on and off.

All very real if you ask me :)

And you can't miss what you don't know exist ;)

^^@mGolos: I think his point was that the Spiked community is not a real community; it's just a collection of people watching short clips. The reason I personally come to spiked is because there IS more of a community feel here, and people like Darthmaximillian and Mungo9000 sometimes make it educational as well as amusing.

Does anyone else wonder if they'll ever meet a spiked user in real life? I'm going to Vancouver on Wednesday, anyone wanna show me round?

i agree, ive been trying to figure out what brings everyone together at the comments page of every clip. its kind of interesting to see the pressures of being accepted, the fear of the negative votes, the hope that your own comment wont look bad. sometimes im more interested in seeing the comments than the clip itself.
