they don't do the same thing u nitwit, a trebuchet launches the object with a swing whereas the catapult uses pushing force. and if u haven't got anything constructive or helpful to say, i suggest you shut ur can instead.

A trebuchet can lift heavier objects, throw them a hell of a lot further, and reload alot quicker than a catapult. The only difference is that a catapult is easy to transport because you don't have to take the wheels off to fire it.
