The best UK comedy shows are Absolutely Fabulous and Only Fools and Horses (especially the one where they bottle their own water and call it Peckham Springs)!!!

British humour, for the most part, is complete shit compared to something like Bill Hicks' style.

The Brits loved the purely American Bill Hicks when he was alive.

Comedy shouldn't involve any serious political commentary - it's all in jest and you people trying to make it sound like it's some kind of jab at Americans are sadly mistaken. Having said that, I've always enjoyed British comedy, I grew up watching Red Dwarf and Are you Being Served (I think that was the name) and loved them. Oh ya, Misses Peacock is HOT!

Where do you buy your Sea-levers? I buy mine at Ess-Mart (I purchase from their online department as well ocassionally). Losers don't usually shop at Ess-Mart, I guess I beat the statistics.

Well I guess I'm just down with the syndrome. When I picture sexual education being taught like that in front of a crowd of teenagers it brings a smirk. The rejects dressed in 80's attire weren't tremendously funny. But a Penis break dancing with a cheering vagina "raising the roof" in support of this "skilled penis" all the while the catchy chorus of "A rap rappy rap and a dang a dang dong, this is how the penis and vagina get along! Go penis, Go penis, go go go..." (all this in front of students who are supposed to be learning about sex)... yeah; I find it amusing. Guess I qualify as lame.

AhumbleKnight

I used the variable "humor" to represent "American Humor"
and "humour" to represent "British humour".

English is a chaotic language that throws in new rules as Delta(t) occurs until eventually there will be a negation of every particular rule (at least on some tier) due to someone's "Clever addition" to the language (Including American English). Math is the truest language, I can only hope the Literary Scholars never slaughter it as well.

Slap stick humor is annoying IMO.

I dont really understand the whole beef with spelling?!

Humour, must be correct since the "english" language was created in "england" that means if its spelled that way in england its correct, im not english im scottish and we too have different ways of spelling word's ,not officialy, but we do.That doesnt take away the fact the the english "invented" (for lack of a better word) the english language, hense what ever way it's spelled in the english oxford dictionary is RIGHT hands down.

I dont understand why people make such a big deal about this, i dont even speak my native language cos the english banned it hundreds of years ago while the where burning our house's and raping our women, and you dont hear me bitchin about it!!..lol

As for humour, funny is funny doesn't matter where its from, althought slapstic comedy is kinda lame and some american humour can be ruined because of the need to explain the joke.(most american stand ups a great but!)

I'm american, my stepdad is from England and since he started living here I've been getting really into British comedies, Blackadder and Fawlty Towers are two of my favorites. :)

And this was funny. If you don't get it, you probably shouldn't be on a humor site. lol
