these fish are genetically engineered, not injected. several deap sea specimens have glowing properties. these species "reproductive fluids" are used to inseminate a more common species of fish eggs (usually via injecting the fluid into the egg) to produce glow in the dark hybrids which can surrvive in a regular fish tank

they are geneticly engineered, but they're crossed w/ a type of coral.

you can get them for like $5 a piece, but they dont glow like that in real life, it's not a bright, and fairly unimpressive
i was looking into getting some, but after seeing them in person I wasnt impressed

do a google search on 'glo fish'

This is just GFP genes added to the fish (Green Fluorescent Protien) so they express a greenish glow, like some plankton. Unfortunately, like particleman said, they don't look that good unless you use black (UV) light. Though they have been doing this for commercial reasons, but it is actually quite useful for researchers to improve microscopic imaging.

They seems pretty cool, but probably need to be in a dark room or something to actually see the glow good.
