Torture is overated. One interrogator once said, "You don't want information out of an interrogatee, you want the truth". Now torture is a sure way to make a man talk. You take a man, tear him a few limbs, and he'll admit that he had tea with the Devil last Friday.

Torture is a way to abuse, a person, not it find out the truth.

There are reasons why "Lie Detectors" are not valid in court. It's unacurate. In court, you have to prove, beyond any doubt that a person is guilty to lock him up. Same with interrogation, you mess up only once, and you have buildings up in the air the next day. Aldrich Ames was a Soviet spy in the US, he passed three Polygraph test, and came clean through all of them.
