For just that reason sivoph, it is a simplistic game. It's very simple. There are only 17 Laws that govern every aspect of it. Unlike with (american) football, baseball, or basketball, where you have starts, stops, time outs, breaks, and a bunch of rules that are a lot of the time difficult to comprehend, with soccer it's a free flowing game, where players can control the game, that's why it's called "the players game". There are no stops and starts and time outs. Play only stops for an injury or to but the ball back into play.

As far as it being adolescent, yes it is, my nephew is 4 and he already takes off across the field just kicking away at the ball. It can capture the imagination of children of all ages. I've been hooked ever since I started playing when I was six. This game is played on every continent that has people on it.

Chuckus, I agree, strikers get all the glory, I'm a keeper so I know. I too want to see a compilation of great saves by the keepers.

On a side note, this vid kinda bothered me with the constant slowing and speeding up of the footage, that get to anyone else?

ya bit jerky .. but on the whole a great clip .. excellent upload ..

Also unlike most other sports .. all you need is a ball .. even in a cramped space alone you can build skills .. that will pay off in a game .. lets face it jogging is boring .. run with a ball .. & its fun as hell .. :D
