Poor Irwin...
..we all sat and watched...and it was obvious that his career would eventually get the best of him...we all know how big of a heart he had for all animals... On a brighter side of things though, it could've been MUCH worse... he couldv'e lost his head to a crocodile, died from cobra venom, etc...but instead he was pierced through the heart by a stingray, and the venom most-likely made it instant & painless ..and ironically, it's almost beautiful. We've all made fun of him from time to time, you can't deny it..you know you did..as did i, yet it was also undeniable how HUGE this guys balls really were!!! he really was a decent role-model, and very entertaining to top it all off. May his courage live on, and may he rest in peace.

What are you like 14 or something? Next time you wanna post a comment, here's a couple of things to take into consideration:

1. Learn the difference between a correctly structured sentence and something we like to call a "run-on" sentence.

2. When posting something, make it sound at least somewhat intelligent and not like you're talking like a stupid idiot. Bashing world leaders, famous people, or countries in general, generally cause you to get flamed on these forums; or any forums for that matter.

Now, generally I keep my mouth shut in fear of getting my comments buried, but I'm doing coming on her and seeing stupid ass morons go, "Boom! Headshot", "Can I have some cheese?", or "Faggot this, faggot that" at every post, which just leads to nothing but arguments. And we all know the saying, "Arguing on the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics...". I'm sure this is gonna be buried, but I got that off my chest, I feel better now.

With that said,

Steve Irwin did a lot. Yes he messed with animals on the show, but don't forget the other stuff he's done. What he's done to try and save the wildlife and endangered species.

Now who's going to catch Reggie? For the majority of people who have no idea what I'm talking about, Reggie is an alligator that was dumped into a man made lake in Harbor City, CA. Due to the high number of people who frequent the park, it was necessary to try to remove Reggie. After several attempts by different reptile wranglers, they called on Steve Irwin who was supposed to come attempt to capture Reggie when he was done filming. It sucks. A bunch of us had planned on wearing some small khaki shorts and showing up while he was working. So much for that.

I always kinda knew that something would happen to him... kind of a morbid inevitability... but when I hear what happened, man , it still surprised me. A shot to the heart by a stingray, that would be instantaneously fatal. My heart goes out to the family of any good man and father who is taken from them ahead of his time. He had a passion for his work, so much so that he donated HUGE chunks of his own money to protecting the wildlife. He also had a zeal for teaching the unlearned about every animal he came across. You don't find many people like that, especially nowdays.
RIP Steve Irwin; despite what the lonely, childish haters say, you WILL be GREATLY missed.

Steve Irwin's death Monday came as a shock to many people and since then the world has mourned his loss. He died after a stingray barb punctured his chest during the filming of an underwater documentary off Australia's Queensland coast.

He continued to say that the tape "shows that Steve came over the top of the ray and the tail came up and spiked him here [in the chest] and he pulled it out and the next minute he's gone. That was it - the cameraman had to shut down."

It now seems increasingly unlikely footage of the tragic event will ever reach the public's eyes. Stainton told CNN that the tape is presently in police custody and should be destroyed.

"It should be destroyed," Stainton said. "When that (tape) is finally released it will never see the light of day, ever.

"I actually saw it and I don't want to see it again," he said.

Arguably, Steve Irwin's contribution to world was to raise public awareness to many of the world's animals and the struggles they face. He achieved this through sometimes shocking visual media being delivered via television to millions of homes on a weekly basis. Here in Japan Steve was often shown on Japanese television, half in mockery of someone doing crazy things, but as I saw the reaction from people around me his antics would really surprise and wow the Japanese viewing audience. Monday the world stopped. Its wierd how a man that i only know through the tv, put this much emotion into me. It seems like i know him personally. He taught me a lot about animals and made me want to become a zoologist when i was younger and am persuing that. He was a great man who loved animals and gave a lot of money to foundations and towards protecting animals. RIP Steve... greatest man in the world.

Omg some of you people are so pathetic little whinging prats.

The point is this. Steve was a great ambassador to Australia, and a true national hero. He was an extremely intelligent and caring person, and has achieved more in his life than most of us can even dream of doing.

Obviously the guy was extremely happy and by all accounts his happiness and love of life rubbed off on anyone he came in contact with.

Instead of bagging him for crying over a dead animal, which he obviously had a deep affinity for, why dont you try to stop for a minute and think about what you have contributed to the world. Not much i bet.

For such a caring and compassionate human being, yet alone a dedicated conservationist and scientist, to be killed in these circumstances is nothing short of tragic.

Sure we didnt know him personally, but the fact that people all over the world are mourning his death surely says something.

RIP steve, good onya mate, we will miss you.
