The movie the scene is from is a Thai film called Shutter. If you can get it I reccomend you do because its feckin' scary. Its about this guy and his gf who one night after partying at a mates house hit a girl on the way home. They panic and drive off and then feel guilty and go back but find no evidence of the hit and run or anyone reported dead or injured that night.

The girlfriend starts to see the girl...at first little instances like in dreams or out of the corner of her eye and then in photos on campus etc. I won't go into anymore details but the plot twists a whole lot from this point on...

A very scary movie and the ending will freak you out...you'll either burn your polaroid camera or get real paranoid.

p.s. The Ring is japanese not chinese. there is no chinese version of the ring.

I was about to mention that this is not Ju-On (The Grudge) or Ringu (The Ring) but but Shutter (They Are Around Us). Unfortunately for me, Gonzo got to it before me. LoL

On a Ringu side note ...

There is a Korean version called Ring Virus but it is far from being as good as Ringu or the American version The Ring. If you are a Ju-On fan as well, check out Ju-Rei.

Still, the only movie to actually make my heart race in the last 15-20 years was Gin gwai or The Eye. Look for an American remake soon!

horror movies from asian countries are so much better than those in america. i'm not sure why, they just are. i remember my friends telling me that The Grudge wasn't scary at all, but i watched the original version,Ju-on, and it scared the shit outta me

btw, thanks for the info Gonzohowdy, i'm gonna head over to netflix right now.

P.S.- while i'm on the topic of asian horror films, does anyone know the name of that one indie movie about the ghosts at the theatre? i saw it a long time ago and cant remember what its called. if anyone knows what i'm talking about, please post the name of it. i highly reccomend it.
