The Human Camera - Stephen Wiltshire

Stephen Wiltshire (London) can make some amazingly detailed drawings of cities, and I completely envy his drawing skills, because he has a lot of them!

Good upload .. I wonder if this ability can be trained .. on a side note .. I've seen people do this kind of thing on LSD trips .. they are able to recollect every single detail as a result of there preoccupation with self-image being shrunk by the boost in perceptive awareness .. bet that guy is very humble as a result of so much data pouring into his mind on a regular basis ..

There sure are some amusingly ironic comments above.

The racist ones crack me up, here we have a video displaying a man who has elite skills far greater than most people on the planet being judged by racists to be inferior! How anyone can maintain a racist view is beyond me, racists make retards look like geniuses by comparison.

Also we (as in the Human race) do actually know a great deal about the brain, if trends in technology continue as they have been, its predicated that we will have a computer with the same capacity as a human brain by 2010. The individual human mind - this is the mysterious part.

After seeing this I thought he may be autistic. The two clues were the slow meaningless high five with his sister and the memory thing.
I don’t know so much about this “disability” but I’ve always found the ones who have a natural understanding for math interesting (although this only affects a small number of autistics).
Always reminds me of the book “the dog in the night time”. Good short read for anyone who hasn’t read it.

Hes not more intelligent, his brain is just as powerful as ours, just highly inefficient. The more efficient his brain becomes, the less power would be dedicated to his memory, what he has is lack of power management.

When I become highly socialitive and get into a joke throwing fit, as my pals call it , I can hardly remember a single joke that I've said, and that is not because I have short term mermory, far from it, its because my brain is working harder on another process then the memory.

If You notice many of the worlds geniuses where fucked up in a way or another, because the brain power cannot vary much, but efficiency can hypotethically give processes such as memory a 50% power, when it normally is spread out over a multitude of process, such a socialising, talking, self consciencness..ect

Yes I watch to much documentarys & like to think i'm not full of shit, but makes sense really lol

Umm...I think the biggest hint was when they said he was a savant and that he was autistic in the opening sentence of the clip...

I wouldn't want his skill if it meant being autistic. Still, incredibly impressive.
