It would have been difficult for Bush to lose against Kerry. Kerry has very socialist (anti-democratic) tendencies. Even with the unpopular war in Iraq, this was seen is far more dangerous.

Kerry didn't help matters either with his infamous "global test" gaft. I remember watching that debate with some fellow Dems. The groans filled the room as we realized it was over.

America, you need to switch to a perhaps a parliamentary system, where one leader doesn't have so much power. You need to change your electoral system to something like Switzerland or New Zealand has, where you must have a government which has fifty percent of the vote. It gets rid of the two party system. The system you need to get is Mixed Member Proportional (MMP). Get rid of your current First Past the Post (FPP) system. Research it, get referendums going and make a change. Two party systems suck and are the poorest forms of democracy. America once lead the world in democracy. Now it is one of the least democratic countries.

Bush won the election because of the issues he addressed...not because of his public speaking skills (though I'm sure some were amused enough to vote for him for that very reason).

Bush pushed the U.N. to get off their lazy "diplomatic" asses and do something about the state of the middle east...when they did not he set out to do it himself.

NOW...granted...he has not exactly done a top notch job....BUT ATLEAST HE DID SOMETHING!!!! It was not the action he took that dazzled the masses (or half of them anyway)...it was the fact that he took action at a time action was needed.

To think that reform was not needed in the middle east is the epitomy of ignorance. To think that Bush has been "the cure" is the epitomy of naivety.

Bush does NOT have a speech impediment - If you see early footage of Bush running for the governors role, he is awesome. He was extremely good at responding whilst on the spot to questions thrown at him.

Now... he's completely the opposite. As i've said - it seems he's suffering mentally. Possible Dementia in the early stages (or he has received a complimentary frontal labotomy).

Either way - he's not particularly in the best place at this time... he's in charge folks!
