"They had fallen on the ground and the cougar still had its jaws around Paul's head so I jumped on the cougar's chest with both feet."
Paul Krismer, of British Columbia, recounted the recent camping experience he had with his family.
Mr. Krismer along with wife Rosemary Abram and sons Paul Allen, 4, and David, 8, had been enjoying a nice camping trip at Shoen Lake campground. The peaceful family trip was interrupted when a cougar suddenly snuck up and clamped young Paul Allen's head in it's jaws, according to Can/West News Service.
"I just ran down this fallen log to where Paul was," reported the dad.
The cougar reportedly released its grip on 4-year-old Paul Allen after Mr. Krismer monkey-stomped it's chest and delivered a few kicks. The defeated animal ran off to the woods.
Paul Allen suffered one serious puncture wound in addition to some minor scratches, but is alright and recovering according to reports.
The father says Paul Allen is "coping very well" and had this to say the following morning;
"'Dad, could we camp somewhere else?'"
That's a tough kid and dad.
