Whats with the different parts of this docu? Theres like part 2's part 2... Then theres like 2 part 3's, and no part 1 and a part 2 version 2.1... Great docu, but seriously, make the part name less confusing.

BTW, I think this part is the worst. Theres a cosmo value that needs to be super precise (which is their basis that a higher being could have created this universe), but they never explained what this value does throughout the whole video. And it really is not hard to contemplate that this value was hit by chance.

yeah goldfish, i find it stupid that they go on about such fine tuning and that the universe is specifically set to allow us to evolve and dosnt mention the posability that we have evolved around these constants by chance rather than the constants being set up for us and that we, or other intelligent beings could have evolved with different constants also by chance. i may have missed the point to this so correct me at will.

something that people interested in this question need to realize is that time is something we created as a measurement to measure basically our existence. Even if the chances for just our particular carbon based form of life coming to existence and evolving are 1 in an infinite number, if the span of time is infinite, then eventually it(life) will happen if the elements that we are made of are available. If anything at all has even the smallest chance of occurring, with enough time it will. if billions of people all flip coins and record the results, eventually someone would flip 10,000 heads in a row, even if it takes 10,000+ years, it doesn't matter because time is infinite. I believe the most important question but one impossible to answer is why do the elements we are made of even exist in the first place? because matter is neither lost nor created, everything we are made of has always existed, and will continue to exist in one form or another forever. if the universe is reduced to what it was before the big bang, all the pieces necessary for life are still there and technically the chance for life forming is the same as before we were created. i don't know where i'm going with this but i guess my opinion is that we can keep searching for how we came to be alive at this point in the eternal span of time, or we can just live. It is hard not to trip out about all this shit every once in a while, just knowing that the chances and conditions needed for each individual person to be alive today are 1/100000000000000000000000.......... so, if all you do is think all the time about how you came to be along with the rest of the world, fukit because what is to gain by asking a question with no answer within grasp, for the sole reason that we can't travel back to the "beginning" unless someone tricks out a delorean but all our money goes to protect ourselves from something we created by being passive and trusting a government to keep us at peace that has instead manipulated us into thinking we have something to be afraid of. People should really be asking who has proffited from 9/11 and the wars that came as a result.

3.
1. Land covered with dense vegetation or undergrowth.
2. Land remote from settlement: the Australian bush.
4.

Good ramble there dimeslime302. I think you are right, given enough time it would always happen.

I profitted from the Gulf war. I was unemployed at the time and got called up into the Navy.

I think it's a bit harsh that Bush gets so much flak for all this, I mean, SOMEONE must have voted for him, and if he's as stupid as people say, how comes he's so good at getting elected?
It's probably them giant lizards at work again.

yeah dime but ever since I was a kid I believed there was a God and that there was really a higher being (even considering aliens as a matter of fact), but was I so wrong? I'm not gonna start an argument so I'll stop there but in regards to this video, I found it quite plausible with what I thought up as a 10 yr. old. I was always fond of the question of why and where...a free thinker if you will, but no one would believe me on that one cause of course, I'm a christian. This video even begins to enlighten me and fill me with enthusiasm about the future and it brings me peace, that scientists out there are trying to find out why we are what we are and who, if not, what created us. I am in peace now, because of my so called religion but I rather call it spiritual life and beliefs. The only ignorance of people are having to disbelief in God because doing so will only deny themselves....even Leonard Susskind found this to be a scary thought....we christians preach that the reason why worldly people don't believe in God is because they are afraid of the truth, afraid that the pleasures will stop and whatnot....the christian inside of me wants to believe in that, but the free thinker wants me to believe that to each his own, and yet it all comes back to my own beliefs, all to what once was in God.
P.S. leave some comments on the video itself, but please don't tell me to F off in cruelty - come on folks, we can do better that. let's work together on this one at least.

I think that if you flipped coins for infinity you would still never get a run of 10,000 heads.
The other day my friends rolled dice playing risk. One person rolled two dice and got two sixes and the other rolled three dice and got three ones. I was amazed and though i couldn't work it out i thought the odds of i happening must have been pretty huge. However, it also occured to me that the odds of one person getting a four and a two and the other person getting a one, a four and a five with pre specified dice (rather than just any dice getting any of those) were just as huge.
What i want to illustrate with this is that sometimes the symetry of the numbers turning up the same give us the impression that it is harder to achieve. It is not, it is just as hard as the numbers i listed, only those dont catch our attention.
If you had a trillion monkeys chained to type writers tapping away for infinity you would not in fact ever get the complete works of shakespear. You would find actually that they would settle into localised patters and you would get a lot of repeated local patterns rather than true randomization.
Back to the flipping the coin on heads ten thousand times in a row. It would just never happen. Sometimes statistics or math or odds can give us a false sense of inevitibility. Here is something to illustrate.
If i said that a car travveling on a 100 meter journey in a straight lline could in fact continue moving fore eternity and would be garenteed never to pass the 100 meter mark then i seems to make no sense. Well lets say that the car cuts its speed in half after covering half of the remaining distance and on and on. it starts out at 100 mph then after 50 meters cuts down to 50mph then after 25 meters cuts down to 25mph etc etc. it could keep going for eternity and it would never cross the 100 meter finish line.
Every time you got heads on the coin flip the chance of you getting heads again are reduced but in some ways it's an equil chance at each reknewed coin flip. see, there are different ways to look at 'odds'. The fact is that the run of heads would probably be locked in a a certain number above which even infinity would not change.
We just have the illusion that anything is possible given enough time in a free universe. The idea that our universe is free is the problem. Duality is the answer. It is free and it is not free at the same time. Nature and science have many examples of seemingly mutual cancelling duality which in face co exist and even compliment.
The universe is free and it's not free. Maths shows anyting is possible yet also restrict possibility.

as for the video, small minds unable to comprehend reality is not proof that there is a creator
