The information/ disinformation war has stepped up another level. I liked the way they stressed the french connection to the conspiracy theories by bringing up the book (as they have done in other reports) in order to project a message that to believe in these theories you must be a outsider or have some sort of anti American sentiment.

I also like his reference to "some nutty college professor trotting out this nonsense" - nice, objective journalism there.

I think Fox are beginning to feel the pressure.

I didn't hear any scientific evidence by the "expert" - just general phrases like "many engineers agree the trauma to the building was too great" and "people don't know what a plane looks like hitting a building so this is correct".

It's funny because you should all go back and listen to this again:

O'Rielly's initial qustion addresses the speed at which the buildings fell.

He states:

"Let's go over the myths one by one. The World Trade Center Towers fell to quickly. That's the big one, and you say what?"

The Popular Mechanics representative, who by the way, is no scientist, but instead an editor with the magazine with no scientific credentials himself, says this:

"Well they didn't. ... Engineers have studied it, and the engineering community is unanimous, that a combination of devistating impact of the jets that severed building members, and then the effects of fire over multiple floors eventually weakened what remained until it began to sag, and ultimately collapse."

If you'll notice, they never actually address his own fucking question!

The guy from popular mechanics doesn't once state the rate the buildings fell, he only states that they collapsed due to fire and impact. Well no shit sherlock, how about talking about the rate of the collapse and answer the fucking question instead of rehashing the same old talking points?

Oh, no, they can't do that, becuase if they addressed the actual speed the buildings collapsed they would admit that they could never scientifically refute the premise in that one single little question.


More proof positive, that the Popular mechanics piece actually didn't debunk anything at all. The entire article, which I've read 4 times now from start to finish is absolutely worthless as a scientific study. They talk about having all these scientists study these theories, but they don't actually manage to discount a single theory using scientific method. the article doesn't even quote or list sources of "who" or "what" they consulted. Not a single graph, not a single diagram, like many many other PM articles about things like this, all that article is, is one huge editorial where they talk about what the scientists that they talked to said.

That article, and this episode are garbage, and disprove and debunk NOTHING.

5/5 for showing how flimsy Bill O'Rielly's grasp on sanity always is. If him and Ann Coulter had a love child, it would surely be the antichrist.

while I was watching this, in my head I was thinking of all the key elements that these dickheads were going around and trying to avoid, they still didn't even talk about the 16 foot hole through the pentagon, they just talked about how tough the pentagon was, and how fragile a huge plane loaded with fuel is. they didnt talk about the SCIENTIFIC UNDESTPUTABLE PROOF that a plane through the world trade centers is not enough at all to bring it down. I am really frustrated with this whole thing, and guess what!? I'm not even american! I'm frustrated because I see mass murderers running a great country and nothing is being done to bring them to justice, the person that will eventually murder Bush will instantly become my hero, and maybe a fucking national hero!

this is incredible, with all the laws that Bush broke, it makes him a criminal, and yet, nothing is being done to drag his ass out of office.

I feel sorry for the people thinking that the attacks were indeed commited by "terrorists", seriously, the proof is under their nose, yet they are so brainwashed by a bunch of fuck-brained criminals, that they can't have an opinion of their own and an open mind.

So what they are saying is that the WTC was not strong enough to withstand an impact like that, but the pentagon is strong enough. I didn't see the pentagon collapse.

Everyone please make sure when listening to conspiracies you use common sense. There is no doubt in my mind that our government was either the orchestrator or the perpetrator of these attacks. The proof is there that the powers that be had things to gain by this catalyst of the patriot act.

However, it was most certainly hijacked aircraft that crashed into all targets. People think that because they have only seen the pictures released to the public, there are no bodies at the pentagon and what not... well recent photographs released as evidence in the trial of Massoui (the 20th hijacker) clearly show the charred bodies of the passengers of the 757, some of them still in their seats. The media can not be trusted but they tried their best to exercise restraint not wanting to offend anyone that may recognize a relative or something.

And why the fuck would they even bother using something like a cruise missile? Americans may be dumb but we know a lot about our military's technology... all it would take is one retired navy officer seeing the missile streak through the sky to know that it was not a commercial airliner.... a cruise missile is only about 14 feet long... quite a bit smaller...

But then why would they confiscate all the camera footage from surrounding business's and the department of transportation? Well I don't know, and the only people that do are the ones that have seen those tapes. There is too much that we can't know and I for one want to see all the footage and photographs that document the entire day... unfortunately the government wants to keep us in the dark for some reason...

There is too much mystery for wild speculation, let's all be sensible and stop drawing immediate conclusions until we have personally seen an obvious truth... not nut jobs connecting the dots...

However one thing is certain, documented, and proven.... Our leaders and the CIA KNEW what was going to happen, and did everything they could to make sure it happened.

Oh yea and don't think a plane can hit a wall going 500mph and atomize? well how about an armored military jet... Certainly most of that jet is stronger than the fuel filled wings of a 757, notice where the walls are charred and white where the wings hit the pentagon

darthmaximillian is correct. But folks this is just the begining. Basically the US has proved that it can control the media and as painful as it is to hear, can organise such attrocities. They are now feeling very comfortable with the idea that they can get away with almost anything and have the mainstream media tell it the way the government want you to hear it.

9/11 was the stepping stone for them, it proved that with massive scare tactics, saturating you with the word 'terror' and having the media to control, the majority of people will look to the government for support and protection from these 'evil doers'.

Soon you will find the US will rehash the 9/11 tradegy to stir up the emotions of the people to again, justify another illegal attack/occupation within the middle east for its own purposes.

2 new movies have been released. The Oliver Stone 9/11 movie and the Flight 93 movie. It may be a coincidence that they are coming out at the same time after 5 years of 9/11 mainstream media quietness but the important thing to notice is what the government will do after the movies have been released. My bet is that Iran/Syria are in for a treat. Hopefully Im wrong.

What will the future hold .. microchips? a democratic middle east? I guess we wait and see
