They participate because Asians are cooler then us.
They can take a joke, and can laugh at themselves. Something 90% of the world cannot do. Remember those videos where people were going to the washroom, and the toilet either lifted them on the roof or turned into a jetski and shot them into the water. Well, if those ever happened anywhere other then Asia, then they would get their asses sued.
People would fake psycological illness... "Because people saw my bum, I have been having reoccuring dreams where people laugh at my bum *cry*"...

They're just cooler over there, and they know how to take a joke. If we could all learn that, there would be alot less lawsuits and people would be alot happier and easy going.

Oh and Tim Hortons wouldn't need to put a warning on their coffee that warns you, that if you spill it on yourself, its not gonna be fun, so dont.

Takeshi's Castle is still my favourite gameshow. They've started dubbing it over and calling it XMC or something on MTV or Channel V, or something. You could probably recreate all the games with about $20 at the hardware store and a bit of effort.

I love the long tunnels with a nasty critter at one end and the contestant's head at the other. Reminds me of Nineteen-Eighty-Four. I remember watching one last year with a little alligator type critter.

They participate because they cant take good jokes and laugh on themselves unlike other people with pride that will sue you if you ever laughed or embarrass them. They dont take life too seriously.. they have fun and they're fun people.
