Its a fish and this is perfectly natural.
Its gorey in nature, it's not his fault.
He didn't say.. "...Throw a baby in the water and lets see how long it can survive while piranha's attack it".

Those things are huge!
It didnt really put them into contrast of how big they were until the alligator picked it up in its mouth. They're actually huge.

Anyone have any information on these fish?
Like, what would happen if say a human was swimming. Could they survive?

[side note] It would be so easy to fish for piranha. Just put... anything in the water and they will bite it.

Well piranhas are huge predators.
You certainly won't last long if you find yourself in those waters.
Their strong point is that they work intensively together.

You may survive if it is 1 or 2 piranhas and you are in water. But they are packing in the hundreds. No contest. You would be truly outnumbered.

they don't mess with animals twice their size, the only way they can attack humans is when the waters are shallow and there's hundreds of them.

It's safe to swin in the main rivers with piranhas as long as you have no cuts, it is dangerous though when the dry season comes in and you get thousands of them trapped and hungry in ponds - then you are a potential meal. I've seen heaps of people swim with piranahs and wading chest deep in water with fishing rod catching red piranhas for diinner.
