what i love is so many people say that religion is saying if we pray God will make it go away... in the bible it says many many many times that if you are a christian you will still "SUFFER" and it happens... And "saving" people wont stop end times... its ok if you want to mock something ok but at least do it with fact... or it makes you sound like a dumb ass

"If the BBC are so obviously biased and have a clear political agenda, then which news outlet out there is superior in terms of accurate investigative reporting and factual programming? I genuinely want to know because
whovever you've got in mind, they must be fucking amazing."

"Again, If you've found a better source for the news that would give someone like me a better perspective on world events, go ahead and
provide some examples....I'm genuinely curious."

____________________________________

Okay, that's twice I've asked for at least one example. I take it you're not gonna provide an alternative source of news reporting then? Fair enough.

Oh wait, how about Fox News (which I watched regularly for 2 years), The Wall Street Journal, and Newsweek. Those are your alternative news sources to the BBC...are they not?

Cheers for the non-submitted suggestions, but I'm sticking with Channel 4, BBC, ITV, The Independent (U.K), and The New Yorker and various current affairs websites & political blogs from the States. I wouldn't touch the mainstream news media in America with a shitty stick. Just a personal choice.

See, how difficult was that?

tommythecat86: "I think you've missed the point entirely porridge. My overall contention was that putting your faith in one media results in limited growth in perspective. Too bad they don't teach you that on the BBC."

^ See above for more than one media.

Given that you didn't ask me to provide examples of other news sources, I never felt the urgent need to divert from your main contention; that the BBC are biased in their reporting and have ignored stories and world events in the past which may have gone against their viewpoint. I called one of your charges against the network "bollocks" because I watched the coverage live on BBC News 24 and later that evening on Newsnight.

Btw, you still haven't provided a shred of evidence (article, media study) which supports your claim that the BBC ignored the uncovering of mass graves in Iraq. I wonder why that is...?

tommythecat86: Resorting to the good ol' "if it doesn't fit your view...it must be a lie". I tremble before the searing logic of your fiery intellect.

I was gonna respond to that comment (although I kinda did above), but I honestly can't be arsed right now...Hey, maybe next week.

tommythecat86: "Join the world of comon sense porridge...lord knows there is plenty of room."

You mean I'm actually invited?....Yippeeee!

Indeed you are porridge....but there is a cover charge and you must check your ignorance at the door.

Try Newsweek(my personal favorite) , The New York Times, any damn thing but the same thing you already watch. MULTIPLE SOURCES OF MEDIA. I believe I had the same fight with Arthur (Princess) Jackson.

Listen guy, it's about looking at things from more than one perspective. It's about looking at things from ALL perspectives. It's about letting the information guide your opinion rather than your opinion guiding your information...know what I mean.

VIVA LA (R)EVOLUTION!!!!
Porridge, you seem like a fairly intelligent person and also quite witty I might add (a few of your shots at me made me giggle)... so I implore you to think about the way you think! I'm no conservative my man...so if this is about striking a blow for your respective party...you're fighting the wrong fight.

P.S. I'm fairly certain that the info on the BBC mass grave was in a small, half page article in Newsweek directly following the incident (though it has been a while).

Just for the novelty of it, I'll work my way from bottom to top this time...

tommythecat86: "I'm fairly certain that the info on the BBC mass grave was in a small, half page article in Newsweek directly following the incident (though it has been a while)."

Could it in fact be that Newsweek (your personal favorite) made a mistake in writing the article in the first place? Seeing as you're a dedicated reader of the magazine, I guess you're already aware they've been caught with their pants down on more than one occasion in the past, due to sloppy reporting, and have issued statements of apology for these mistakes?

This is the last time I'm gonna type this, but I can tell you right now that I'm 100% certain of watching live coverage of the mass graves on the BBC.

tommythecat86: I implore you to think about the way you think! I'm no conservative my man...so if this is about striking a blow for your respective party...you're fighting the wrong fight.

What's my respective political party affiliation (of which I have none) got to do with anything? I'm talking about truth and accuracy, not idealogical difference of opinion. If anything, that's what I'm striking a blow for...

...But then again, I'm not even trying to do that.

tommythecat86: "Listen guy, it's about looking at things from more than one perspective. It's about looking at things from ALL perspectives. It's about letting the information guide your opinion rather than your opinion guiding your information...know what I mean."

ANOTHER REMINDER:

"Oh wait, how about Fox News (which I watched regularly for 2 years), The Wall Street Journal, and Newsweek. Those are your alternative news sources to the BBC...are they not?"

"Cheers for the non-submitted suggestions, but I'm sticking with Channel 4, BBC, ITV, The Independent (U.K), and The New Yorker and various current affairs websites & political blogs from the States. I wouldn't touch the mainstream news media in America with a shitty stick. Just a personal choice."

If you've got a problem with people like me refusing to read the likes of Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, The New York Times, or that I stopped watching Fox News, just as they were about to enter the network's golden era of fearless news reporting (Carl Cameron), journalistic integrity (Bill Kristol, Fred Barnes, Brit Hume), non-propagandist commentary (Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, John Gibson, Neil Cavuto), or light-hearted morning talk, which under no circumstance whatsoever, viciously attack opponent's of the Republican agenda?......then I'm fucking well pleased.

Need to stop there because I'm currently thinking about the way I think...

"even on the bombs israel sent little girls signed on it.. and little boys in libanon got the message!"

Yeah I saw that too. Sad :/ It's time to stop pointing fingers. To just.. STOP

"fucking jews i hate them.. if hitler won we wouldnt have this hypocritical bullshit and assholes around the world... we would have justice and order..!"

Uhm.. You know Jon Stewart would be coming out of a incinerator of hitler won right? Im preeeeeeeeetty sure he's Jewish by heritage. He's just not that hung up about it.
Besides Hitler was an insane freak that put people in concentration camp indefenitely without trial, jury or evidence. Then alot of them commited suicide in big shower rooms. A madman that bombed his own reichstag.

My point is. I dont agree with your racism/discrimination against religion.

Actually, I havent actually figured out if Jewish is a religion or a race. I mean you can convert... I presumed it's both.
