Mr_Owen: I am sorry to hear that your fellow countrymen are so dim. Perhaps you could enlighten those who refute observable evidence by asking them to participate in a simple experiment on the effects of petrochemical pollution in a closed atmospheric system. Ask the person who doesn't believe he/she is causing harm to park his/her car inside a tightly closed garage, turn the engine on, and observe what happens for 3.5 hours. If they survive the experiment, I will personally visit them to apologise for making a fuss about the damage we are doing to the planet by burning fossil fuels. :)

1). It is true that the Earth has ALWAYS had major climate changes. These were not caused by the Bush Administration...I can assure you (though I'm sure some of you believe otherwise...atleast you would if the BBC told you so). It is part of the earths cycle.

NOW, that having been said.

2) IT IS ALSO TRUE THAT OUR CONSTANT AND ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY ABUSE OF OUR PLANET HAS FOR DAMN SURE SPED THAT PROCESS UP!....for fucks sake...there is a hole in the ozone layer...it amazes me that some of you are not a little nervous about that.

How is it that there is so much attention paid to the war (which in my opinion is far from being a black and white issue..to believe it is shows a superior form of ignorance) and hardly any attention paid to the fact that BUSH DID NOT SIGN KYOTO....UNACCEPTABLE!

BUSH HAS SET US BACK YEARS IN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION!
To be fair though, we are all a little to blame for the state of our planet. It is easy to point at Bush and say HE is the culprit, but the truth is...we're all a little to blame.

The question is....are we all ready to make a change?

This and the other buried represent the mentalities we are up against. These people are not only afraid to look at facts, but also to challenge old ways of thinking. no gas = no money is a current mentality, not a FACT. It's changeable if we use ingenuity, common sense, and take responsibility for our actions.

It's hard not to politicise it when no "gas = no money" lobbyists are fighting harder than the environmentally concerned.

But we don't get anywhere politicising... we need to start with the basic question: is the earth's health a priority to you? Then look at the facts, look at our implication, and then find and implement alternatives.

If we can't agree on the first question, then I agree... viva la revolution!!
